  Welcome to My Blog

After 17 years in ministry and experiencing a mighty move of God here in City Harvest Church, Singapore and throughout Asia, I finally launch my website and first blog. What a privilege it has been to be a part of all that God has been doing and what an adventure it has been!

Not only is God moving mightily in Asia but he is moving mightily in many parts of the World today. We are living in exciting times and the Church of Jesus Christ is on the move! I have heard people say, “Wouldn’t it have been great to live in the times of Jesus?” or “Wouldn’t it have been great to be around during the times of the Apostles … or when Smith Wigglesworth or Kathryn Kuhlman were alive ministering”. Friends, it is not an accident that we were born when we were and that we are alive NOW! The most exciting time for us is NOW!

We live in a day of great opportunity where so many resources are available for the Gospel that were previously not available. We should be using everything that God has placed in our hands to build the Kingdom and to glorify God! David had it right when he said, “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! (Ps 105:3)

Throughout history, there were times when the Church had been slow to use the resources that God had made available for the Kingdom of God. We have not used “everything to praise (to proclaim) the Lord”. There have been numerous theological debates about whether various instruments should be used in the worship of God; whether drums should be allowed in Church. Debates on whether it was fine for Christians to go to the movies or to even watch television. Meanwhile the world is making use of every tool available to propagate its “message”, to sell its project /product and to gain influence. But David did not debate; he used everything to praise the Lord! He even created new instruments and tools to glorify God with.

Today, we have many tools available to spread the Good News in times where there is much bad news floating around. Media has become more affordable and in many cases, even free with the rise of the internet. Information is now available at the touch of the keyboard. We have websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and the list goes on … Video streaming has been made easy with the iPhone and other smart phones, and high quality MP3 recorders have also become more affordable. With just a few clicks, media can be made available around the World!

So, it is with this intention that I type my first blog and launch this website. I pray that you will be encouraged, empowered and equipped through the resources that are available here. As I share what God has placed on my heart and put into my hands through the ministry he has given me, I pray that you will do the same too!

Much love,
